The result of making a composite image out of multiple, separate, and unrelated images to make a new artwork. Traditionally this was done by literally cutting out, arranging, glueing, and often re-photographing an illustration. More often than not the resulting artwork is quite conspicuously a composite, and not necessarily purporting to be an observed subject. Adobe Photoshop is very commonly used to create such artworks.
